Who can get the treatment?
Dr. Ray Barry will review your medical history, discussing with you your expectations for the treatment and will assess your suitability based on this.
How long do results of the treatment last?
Typically the results of this treatment can last for 3 months, and full results are usually visible after 2 weeks.
Is the treatment painful?
Treatment has minimal pain and the needles used for the injection is very small. Any discomfort felt is only momentary, and after 20 -30 minutes the patient has normally left the clinic and able to pursue all normal activities, such as working, driving etc.
How does the Gummy smile treatment work?
The gummy smile is caused by hyperactivity of the muscle over the lip.
The treatment prevents the nerve contracting the muscle and results in the muscle relaxing. The hyperactive muscle will be weakened resulting in less lip elevation
