FAQs

Is treatment painful?

I use a numbing cream & ice before treatment on the 5 BAP injection sites on each side of the face. I also use numbing cream & ice on the hands & neck so there is no discomfort.

The treatment is painless.
Are there precautions to take before treatment?

No vitamins, alcohol or anti-inflammatories 5-7 days before treatment to help prevent downtime e.g.. bruising

If you suffer from cold sores it is advisable to take lysine or an oral prescription x 1 week prior to treatment to help prevent cold sore virus reactivating

Day of treatment I recommend an antihistamine prior to treatment to help prevent swelling

Not suitable for anyone allergy to hyaluronic acid, pregnant or breastfeeding
What is the aftercare?

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatmentThere may be some swelling at injection sites – let swelling settle – do not massage

Product will spread like honey in skin to the areas where it is needed

Avoid anti-inflammatories, vitamins & alcohol for 2 days after treatment

Do not apply make up for 24 hours

Do not have any other cosmetic treatment for 4 weeks after profhilo treatment
Is the treatment safe?

Yes profhilo is very safe

It contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid which is natural, bio-compatible and will be absorbed into the skin after a period of time
