This skin remodelling peel is comparable to TCA but with a greater safety profile. Pyruvic acid hydrolyses into lactic acid giving it all the benefits of a medium depth peel but without the risk and irritation.The Regen peel addresses multipleskin concerns including photo-ageing, acne, moderate scars, actinic keratosis, sun damage and pigmentary disorders. As a kept-acid, it regulates sebum and has a anti-microbial action, therefore indicated for all skin of acne, post acne damage and oily skin. The lactic acid component prevents the skin from dehydration while the retinaldehyde is the most effective and less irritating form of vitamin A offering optimal skin regeneration.

The Regen Peel contains:

Pyruvic Acid (50% ) – keratolytic, sebum regulating, anti-microbial,stimulates collagen

Lactic Acid (10% ) – powerful but gentle tyrosine inhibitor with anti-ageing properties

Salicylic Acid ( 2% )- anti-inflammatory, controls sebum production

Retinaldehyde ( 0.6% ) – gold standard form of Vitamin A for repair, regeneration and prevention

FAQs

What are the Contraindications?

Patients with a history of herpes must pre- medicate prior to treatment

Patients with active cold sores or warts, wounded, sunburned, excessively sensitive skin, healing problems, dermatitis or inflammatory Rosacea in the area to be treated should be excluded from treatment

Not suitable for patients with autoimmune disease or serious medical conditions

Patients with a history of allergies, rashes, or other skin reactions may be sensitive to treatment

This treatment is not recommended if you have taken Accutane within the past year or received chemotheraphy or radiation therapy

This procedure should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women

Not suitable for anyone allergic to aspirin
What are the precautions to take before the Peel?

Pre- care instructions before treatment:

Avoid the following procedures 1 week before treatment : electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams, laser hair removal & sun exposure

Cease using any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating, such as benzoyl peroxide or high percentages of AHA/ BHA’s

Avoid retinoid acid/ tretinoin 1 week prior
What are the post treatment instructions?

Leave on the repair balm until bedtime for best results.

Rinse skin gently ( with water only ) & pat dry/ do not rub

Avoid harsh cleansers or washcloths

Patients with hypersensitivity to the sun should take extra precautions to guard against exposure immediately following the procedure as there may be more sensitivity following treatment

Do not have any other facial treatments for at least one week after your treatment
